Chart notes
ROGUES A PLOTTING came away well to grab the early lead, surrendered the lead midway through the turn, came under a stiff ride and urging, then came back on in the stretch, gained the advantage inside the sixteenth marker, and drew off in the final yards. DR SPIRITO broke a little awkwardly, but contested the pace from between horses early on, poked a head in front leaving the seven-sixteenths pole, had a clear lead turning for home, battled gamely when confronted in the stretch, but yielded inside the sixteenth pole and saved the place. SHELTOWEES ROCKET pressed the pace three-wide, loomed at the top of the stretch, but was outfinished. BUCKEYE MIKE got bumped and crowded by the outside rival at the start, chased the leading trio four-wide under a steady ride, lugged out through the stretch, and was unable to find the needed late response. LEGAL JARGON ducked in at the start, making some contact with BUCKEYE MIKE, raced five-wide early, continued on a wide path through the turn, then lacked a finish. JUST A ROCKSTAR veered outward at the start, raced at the back down the backstretch, lost contact with the field while racing very wide on the turn, and was not involved in the late stages.
