Chart notes
SEE YA ALLIGATOR outpaced early, settled near the back for the first quarter mile, advanced through the turn under a drive, came six or seven wide into the stretch, and produced a steady rally down the middle of the track and was along in time. KETTLE COALMINE chased in the back half of the field, made a forward move on the turn to gain contention, finishe dup will despite racing a litlte erratically through the stretch but could not hold the winner late. LOWELLS LEGACY hustled into the early pace battle, backed off as the field turned into the stretch, lost some momentum, then came back on after moving out four-wide for the stretch run, but came up a bit short in a solid effort. MARKAWAY vied four-wide, always close up, had a head in front at the quarter pole, battled gamely through the stretch, but weakened in the final yards. DRAGON HUNTER contested; the early pace from between rivals, kicked on from the quarter pole, was the inside horse as the field fanned out across the track turning for home, but lacked the needed late kick in the end. LUCY'S FIRST SONG was hustled up to press the pace six-wide up the backstretch, had every chance while bidding three-wide at the top of the stretch but flattened out late. WORTHY OF IT ALL ducked in at the start, making contact with the inside rival, rushed up to join the early pace mix, backed off at the half-mile pole, went out to the three-path midway through the turn, then could not muster a rally in the late stages. DELIGHTFUL APPEAL veered in after the start, chased from the pack and passed tired foes in the stretch. CHASING ORION got bumped at the start, raced mid-pack, was under stiff drive before the three-furlong pole, did not respond and tired in the stretch. JACE hustled aggressively to the front, contested the pace between horses initially, gained a clear advantage passing the half-mile pole, started to weaken midway through the turn, and stopped in the stretch.
