Chart notes
VODKA VODKA forwardly placed early on, stalked the decent pace three then two wide nearing the half-mile, bid four wide to upper stretch, drew clear while in hand in the late stages. MALARCHUK set pace from the two to three path into the backstretch, lost lead into upper stretch, fought on to the final sixteenth, was not able to impact the winner late and was second best. BEARINGS settled early, raced widest to the half-mile pole, asked three wide to the quarter, angled five wide to upper stretch and bid into the drive, was outkicked in the final sixteenth ad held well late for third. CORNISHMAN settled early, coaxed four wide to the half-mile pole, bid two wide into the far turn, continued to gain ground to the furlong marker, could not sustain that run late and was outfinished for third. HEROIC MOVE contested early pace between rivals, took back and stalked inside to the far turn, chased to upper stretch then weakened in the drive. BENDER unhurried to the backstretch, swung five wide to upper stretch and passed tiring rivals late. BATTLE STRIKE five to six wide while forwardly placed to the first turn, maintained a wide trip to the half-mile pole, chased five wide to the quarter marker and did not rally late. ZE'BUL settled inside to the half-mile, was caught in tight and shuffled back into the far turn and did not offer a late response. DIMATIC well placed in the early stages while between runners, tracked the pace to the half-mile pole, caught in traffic into the far turn, asked for run two wide to upper stretch, lacked a response into the lane and tired. BAROSSA forwardly placed while four to five wide into the first turn, tracked the decent pace while wide to the far turn, could not muster the needed response at the quarter pole then came up empty in the drive.
