Chart notes

THIRD STREET went up to dispute the early pace, led while off of the rail nearing the quarter marker, held HAM SANDWICH at bay into the final furlong then drew clear in the final stages. HAM SANDWICH close up in the early stages, tracked the pace four wide into the turn, bid three wide nearing the top of the lane, fought on into the final furlong, was kept at bay by THIRD STREET into the final sixteenth and was clear of the rest for second. TOPPERS AT SEASIDE broke in at the start and off step slowly, contested early pace between foes heading into the turn, lost position nearing the top of the stretch, chased the top pair into the final furlong, could not make up ground on the leaders late and held safely for third. OHHH DADDY rated off of the early pace, chased two wide to the quarter pole, asked three wide to the stretch and could not muster the needed late response. VINNIEBOB unhurried to the turn, raced outside of rivals while trailing nearing the quarter pole, swung widest to upper stretch and was not a threat late. HELD FOR RANSOM crowded and lost path at the start, rushed inside and stalked the pace heading into the turn, gave chase to the quarter pole, could not keep pace into upper stretch and gave way in the lane. SANGER settled in the second flight, saved ground to the quarter marker, lacked a response to the furlong pole and did not factor late.
