Chart notes
TIZ TICKTOK hustled away from the start to take a slight lead early, fought off a challenge from COOL OKIE approaching the quarter pole, and turned back an inside bid from PASS THE ROSES in the stretch to prevail. PASS THE ROSES briefly dueled for the lead with TIZ TICKTOK, backed off to a stalking position, was under a stiff drive at the five-sixteenths marker, then rebid up the fail, chased gamely but could not reel in that rival and had to settle for second, while clear of the next finisher. COOL OKIE raced close up three-wide, launched a bid leaving the three-furlong marker, loomed at the top of the stretch, but could not sustain the bid, but kept on for third. TWISTED STEEL tracked in the four-path up the backstretch, then even evenly late while never a serious threat for the win. CRUISINFORABRUSIN was slow to begin, pulled to be close to the main pack heading into the turn, then weakened late on the turn and stopped in the stretch. ARIMUS lacked any early speed, chased well from well behind, and was never a factor. CAJUN COWBOY was off slow, then ducked out sharply, raced far behind, lost interest on the turn, and was galloped out to the finish.
