Chart notes
SMILING TIME raced close up along the rail, bided time with no clear path through the turn, found a seam inside the furlong grounds, then surged ahead in the final jumps. MAGICAL MAX settled mid-pack four-wide up the backstretch, moved up o the turn, finished well and just missed. RUGGED SAWYER LEE got over to the two-path before the turn, dueled with MERLIN THE RED from the seven-sixteenths marker to deep stretch, got the best of that one inside the sixteenth, but was outkicked in the final yards. KALUKI tracked between rivals to the stretch, then finished with interest but was outkicked in the late stages. MERLIN THE RED broke best, set a pressured pace to mid-stretch, then weakened late, fell after passing the finish line and was transported from the track in the equine ambulance. MAX'S LUCKY BLING chased after a slow start, was never able to regain contact with the field, but kept trying through the stretch. DIAMONDS R LUCKY dropped back after a level start and was never involved. GOSPEL UP raced with the pack for a quarter mile, then was done early on the turn and stopped. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
