CANADIAN BEAR close up in the early stages, ceded the lead into the first turn, attended to the pace between rivals heading to the half-mile marker, bid into the far turn and took a narrow lead at the quarter pole, dug in to mid-stretch then met the bid of GOSHEN leaving the furlong pole, responded well while drifting out in the final sixteenth, was resolute to the wire and held for the win. GOSHEN settled to the first turn while in a bit tight, shifted out into backstretch run, tracked pace from second flight while three wide, given cue four wide into far turn, rallied three wide upper stretch, confronted CANADIAN BEAR nearing furlong grounds, fought gamely while crowded by CANADIAN BEAR into final sixteenth, denied win, held safely for second. DREAMING OF AUDREY took command into the first turn, set the pace while prompted to the half-mile, dug in into the far turn then was overtaken at the quarter pole but continued to battle into the stretch, was stubborn into the final sixteenth but yielded to the top pair late and was well clear for third. CURLS NITE OUT settled outside of rivals into the first turn, trailed to the half-mile pole, maintained a wide trip to the far turn and was widest to upper stretch, could not impact the leaders into the final sixteenth but passed tiring rivals late to improve position. CHANEL SPIRIT hard to load prior to the start, was away in good order and was forwardly placed to the first turn, stalked the pace three wide into the backstretch, pressed into the far turn then lost ground nearing the quarter pole, could not find more into the lane and gave way. ELECTRIC MELODY broke in at the start, rated along the inside into the first turn, well placed along the backstretch, chased from the inside heading to the quarter pole, angled three to four wide to upper stretch, weakened in the drive. HAUT LES COEURS squeezed at the start, settled while saving ground into the first turn, moved to race between rivals into the backstretch, went two wide into the far turn then was outrun heading to the quarter pole, trailed to upper stretch and did not offer a late response. THE JOCKEY OF GOSHEN LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST CANADIAN BEAR, CLAIMING INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH. THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THAT OBJECTION AND RULED NO CHANGE.
