FOR SOME REASON prominent early, pressed the moderate pace two wide into the turn, took command into upper stretch then drew clear at the furlong marker, kept to task past mid-stretch and was ridden out to the wire. SUNDAY GILT rated nicely in the early stages, tracked the leading pair to the quarter pole, asked three wide to upper stretch, was no match for the winner into the final sixteenth but was a clear second best. BANGKOK BOB settled outside of rivals in the early stages, coaxed three to four wide to the quarter pole, needed more into the lane but stayed on late and gained third. CHAIN REACTION broke out at the start and crowded outer rival, settled between runners in the early stages, coaxed three wide to the quarter marker, angled to the four path for the stretch drive, made a mild late bid but needed more in the final stages. I ONCE STOOD ALONE broke out at the start, settled in the second flight early on, saved ground into the turn and chased to the quarter pole, kept an inside path to upper stretch, shifted to the two path into the final furlong and did not offer the needed late response. HOMETOWN HERO bobbled then was crowded at the start and was last away from the gate, trailed to the turn, navigated traffic while taking dirt into upper stretch, angled widest into the final sixteenth and passed a pair of tired foes late. BOSS HOLIDAY hustled away from the start, vied for the early lead then dueled for pace duties from the inside heading into the turn, disputed the moderate pace to the quarter pole, could not keep pace into the stretch and faded in the final furlong. AARAJ got squeezed a bit at the start and was off a step slowly, recovered and tracked the pace from the second flight heading to the turn, coaxed two wide and between rivals approaching the quarter, lacked the needed response into the stretch and gave way.
