Chart notes

ROLLY close up in the early running, stalked the pace three wide to the turn, was given his cue nearing the quarter marker then vied for the lead to upper stretch, took command into the final furlong, shook free of the runner-up into the final sixteenth and drew clear late. STONE'S THROW rated off of the early pace, stalked the leader along the backstretch, went up and pressed the pace two wide and between foes into the turn, vied for the lead into upper stretch then was turned away past the furlong pole, was no match late for the winner and held safely for second. OLLIE BOY tracked the early pace from the outside, ran in pursuit three to four wide along the turn, was widest to upper stretch, rallied late and was clear in the end for third. CHILL BOSS forwardly placed early, took back and trailed into the turn, coaxed along from the two path to upper stretch, lacked a late response. DIXIELAND CHILL hustled for the early lead, assumed command and set the pace to the turn, was pressed to the quarter marker then overtaken into upper stretch, chased past the furlong pole, could not keep pace into the final sixteenth and faded late.
