Chart notes
FREDDIE BY A NOSE saved ground early, was angled off the rail far on the turn, steadily advanced, finished well and was going away at the finish. NOPENOTTONIGHT gained a clear lead, pulled under a snug hold, held his advantage into the stretch but was reeled in at the sixteenth pole. BYWORD reserved while three wide, was angled in on the far turn and stayed on in the stretch. ISLAND CABANA broke outwardly, was outpaced four wide, entered the stretch while three wide, lacked a rally. INTO WISHING had a wide trip and proved no factor. PROVEN HOPE chased the pacesetter and dropped back around the far turn. CRIMSON STORM raced in striking position while three wide and faltered.
