Chart notes
VILLIAN allowed to settle, closed steadily three then four wide to make the lead in deep stretch and edged clear late under confident handling. EXCITEMENT set a pressured pace two wide then inside rivals until deep stretch and finished second best. THAT'S THE WAY slow early, found his best stride late three wide. OKLAHOMA JOE pressed the pace four then two wide and faded in the stretch. COLOR BEARER broke outward bumping a rival to his outside, offered a mild bid inside rivals through the turn then came up empty. RELISH THE RIDE trailed into the stretch, swung wide and passed tiring rivals. MOMMA K'S BOY failed to menace. C V DYNAMIC was no factor. SHADOWY was bumped from his inside at the start, had early speed three wide and was through after a half mile. PROSECUTOR close up early, lacked room along the rail past the five eighths marker then dropped back. GOLDEN FLAG broke well to match strides for the early lead while dropping inside then gave way on the turn.
