Chart notes
CHIRON with the second flight along the inside, shifted out four wide on the far turn, closed rapidly three wide through the late stages under right handed urging and got up in the final stride. MIGHTY LES vied for the lead three wide, gained a narrow advantage two wide in upper stretch, set the balance of the pace and just missed hanging on by the narrowest of margins. EKATI'S WAY set a pressured pace along the inside until mid stretch then was outfinished in a game effort. TATANKA pressed the pace two wide while between rivals into the far turn, checked nearing the five sixteenths pole then lost momentum. BIG LUCKY was no factor. JOHN'S ROCK failed to menace. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND THE RIDER OF TATANKA LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF MIGHTY LES FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE MIDWAY ON THE FAR TURN. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS UPHELD THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
