Chart notes
OKIRO was off slow and had outside pursuit and made a five wide run on the turn, closed well on the outside to get up in time under a drive. EXTENDO stalked the pace and made a three wide bid leaving the turn and then had a long drive and led late but was denied on the wire to just miss. ESPERON was away alertly to be soon clear and set the pace on the inside, dug in leaving the furlong marker but was caught late while on the left lead. GOVERNOR SAM broke a bit flat and raced on the inside early, two wide by the quarter pole and finished well but needed more. SOUPER QUEST hit the gate leaving the gate, tracked the leaders and then steadied by the three eighths marker, two to three wide on the turn and came four wide into the lane and was in contention by the furlong marker but was shut off by the sixteenth marker and bumped the hind end of EXTENDO losing all chance. COPPOLA chased the pace and was three to four wide on the turn, had run in the lane but was in traffic and had a mild late rally. SOSUA SUMMER was settled early and raced wide on the turn, came six wide into the lane and had a belated rally. MATTINGLY was allowed to settle early and saved ground throughout but lacked the needed bid. BEACH COLT (CHI) stalked the pace two wide and weakened in the lane. JOCKEYS OBJECTION the number eight against the number nine at the sixteenth pole, after the STEWARDS reviewed the replays the OBJECTION was DISALLOWED and the results left as is and made official.
