Chart notes
HEADSTRONG WAYS settled inside, angled out to the four path on the turn, closed into range in upper stretch, set her sights on TUPELO entering deep stretch, challenged from inside and got up in the final strides. TOULOUSE DETRAC showed the way up the backstretch from off the rail, led two wide around the bend, three wide into the lane, drifted out steadily through the lane and got caught in the closing moments. ALOHA DREAMIN tracked the lone speed outside a rival, rounded the bend in the three path, gained ground down the lane but could not summon the needed late kick. TUPELO tracked the pace from inside, asked along the fence through the turn and weakened in the drive. PRINCESS DADDY trailed outside HEADSTRONG WAYS in the early going, ridden along two to three wide on the turn and was never a factor.
