Chart notes

DANZIG TIL DAWN dueled from inside then lost touch with the leader early on the backstretch, moved up to challenge again near the midway point, dueled and took over early on the far turn, put GOGOTIZ away at outside the five-sixteenths pole and remained clear under urging to the wire. GOGOTIZ dueled from outside, cleared early on the backstretch then got challenged again by DANZIG TIL DAWN approaching the half-mile pole, relinquished the lead with three furlongs remaining, could not keep up with the new leader midway around the turn, kept trying down the lane and stayed on for a clear second. BITTER TRUTH settled next to the fence off the pace, chased within range on the far turn, cut the corner into the lane and flattened out in the final furlong. SKY AT SUNRISE vied three deep into the first turn then took a stalking position around the bend, dropped back to last in the middle stages, went two wide into the far turn then found the rail, moved out in upper stretch and passed tired rivals. SOUTHERN RIFF tucked inside at the rear early, passed a rival on the backstretch while coaxing along, asked for more on the far turn continuing to save ground but failed to make an impact down the lane. DESPITE stumbled slightly coming out of the gate, checked when put in tight along the fence not too long after, pulled between rivals around the first turn, followed the top pair closely on the backstretch, weakened around the far turn and tired in the lane.
