Chart notes
QUAHOG REPUBLIC was rated along the inside, closed in through the turn for a prominent position in the upper stretch, split the dueling leaders at the sixteenth and dug in for the victory. PARTY ON RUFUS chased the early pace setter, ranged up through the turn to contest the lead at the quarter, dueled with GATORS REIGN in the stretch until being split by the eventual winner at the sixteenth, held for second. SPURIOUS found early position around the middle of the pack, found a late burst for the show award. BODINE trailed for most, rallied well but it was too late. SPINEMJOHNNY raced off the pace, made no impact. GATORS REIGN bobbled slightly at the start, showed good early speed, met a bid from PARTY ON RUFUS at the quarter, battled that rival down the lane until stopping in the final sixteenth.
