LIL BRO COOP was under some coaxing to maintain position early, tracked in the middle of the pack two or three wide in the early going, kicked on when cued approaching the three-furlong pole, came out three-wide int ot he stretch and finished best under steady handling and urging to be along in time. PRIMO CANARY tracked behind the pace between foes down the backstretch, responded when put in a drive leaving the three-furlong pole, took advantage of an open path along the rail, and finished upwelling under strong handling and urging but came up a head short. JAMESY'S EMPIRE broke well and dueled outside of U RASCAL U put a head in front past the seven-sixteenths marker, dug in when confronted by a pair of rivals on the outside in upper stretch, battled gamely but was outkicked in the final yards. HIGHSTAKES HUSTLER tracked three-wide down the backstretch, moved up approaching to bid for the lead at the top of the stretch, drifted out, then weakened in the final furlong. LIL SWEET THANG was devoid of early speed, kept to the inside through the turn, and improved. ARROMAX was outpaced through the early stages, launched a five-wide bid on the turn but flattened out in the stretch. TIZ MARKS SPIRIT pressed the pace three-wide, weakened after passing the five-sixteenths pole, and tired. RIGHTEOUS STAR raced wide and lacked a finish. WILLINGNESS raced in the middle of the field, then went one-paced through the stretch. U RASCAL U contested the pace inside to the turn, struggled to keep up approaching the quarter pole, then had little to offer in the stretch. FIRST CLASS HARLOW dropped far behind and was never involved. INSTAMATICAL was forwardly placed to the turn, started to retreat before the three-furlong pole and had nothing left in the stretch.
