Chart notes
ALWAYS IN VOGUE laid up close in the two path, was ridden around turn, took aim from the three path at the top of the lane, and drew ahead in the final sixteenth. RUN MAMA RUN was wellback inside, steadied passing the three-eighths pole, angled out to the five path passing the furlong grounds, and rallied late for place. B D'S ANGEL set the pace inside, was cued midway around the turn, dug in stubbornly from the two path down the lane, but got caught by an outer pair in the final sixteenth. BLUE OPAL raced off the pace in the two path, tipped inside midway around the turn, cut the corner at the top of the stretch, and fought on, but evened out in the final sixteenth. TANGANYIKA chased in the three path, was driven around the turn, floated out to the six path at the top of the lane, but was one paced.
