Chart notes
ECHO DOWN settled just off of the early pace and saved ground along the backstretch, trailed into the turn, angled to the four path nearing the quarter marker, bid and vied for the lead into the stretch, took a narrow lead to the final sixteenth, shook free and kicked clear late. STRING THEORY rated just off of the early pace, went up to press three wide into the turn, vied for the lead to upper stretch then battled between foes into the lane, was outkicked by the winner in the final sixteenth but was a clear second best. RED BARRON sent for the early lead, set a contested pace into the turn, met the bid of STRING THEORY while off of the rail into upper stretch and battled to the furlong marker, yielded to the top pair in deep stretch and was a clear third. FLINT ROCK broke alertly then ceded the early lead, pressed outside of RED BARRON heading into the turn, dropped back nearing the quarter marker, faded in the stretch drive.
