RAGTIME WINE hard to load prior to the start, showed good speed away from the start and took early command, kicked clear into the turn and carved out a solid pace to the quarter marker, kept to task while clear into the stretch, held sway to the final sixteenth and was ridden out to win as much the best. SOUNDS LIKE POWER rated off of the early pace then tracked from the second flight, chased RAGTIME WINE from the two path nearing the quarter marker, ran in pursuit of the winner into the stretch, could not make headway in the final sixteenth but was a clear second best. MAJORITY OPINION bumped then crowded at the start and last away from the gate, lacked early speed and trailed into the turn, angled three wide to upper stretch, could not impact the top pair late but closed willingly to the final sixteenth and was a clear third. ASTROLOGYSPROTEGE prominent in the early running, pressed the pace from the inside along the backstretch, was repelled into the turn then chased RAGTIME WINE to the quarter marker, tipped to the two path to upper stretch, needed more at the furlong pole, gave way. DRILLING REPORT settled off of the solid early pace, coaxed four to five wide to the quarter marker, swung widest to upper stretch, lacked a late rally, passed a tiring rival late. CHARCO crowded an inner rival at the start then was a bit slow away from the gate, settled while saving ground early on, kept an inside path while in pursuit into the turn, lacked the needed response into upper stretch, weakened in the stretch drive. RANCH WATER rated off of the early pace then tracked from the second flight along the backstretch, ran in pursuit three to four wide nearing the quarter marker, was outrun to the furlong grounds, tired in the late stages.
