Chart notes
SAMURAI PRINCE set a pressured pace in the opening quarter, continued with a slim lead late on the turn, saved ground turning for home and widened to a clear advantage, felt QUARTER RAT closing in, dug back in under left handed pressure and held sway. QUARTER RAT raced in traffic going by the half mile marker and past the three eighths pole, hustled along mid-way around the turn, swung four paths wide into the upper stretch, responded under firm handling and gained to the wire. DONTBESOOGROUCHY was unhurried early and settled in the back, saved ground around the turn, given cue at the head of the lane, took closer order along the rail and cleared show. BEAU DAY lacked racing room going by the half mile marker, continued to sit patiently around the turn, tipped three wide for the drive, put to a drive but failed to kick on. MR NEGATIVITY prompted the early pace, continued to force the issue around the turn then gave way leaving the furlong marker. SHUT UP MICHAEL (IRE) was forwardly placed up the backstretch, continued in contention three wide around the turn then weakened. BIYOMBO was not to far back in early stages, chased three to four wide around the turn and had no late response.
