Chart notes
VERBAL held a clear lead throughout, was never headed, kept to task in the stretch driving. BOURBONATOR was hard held and difficult to rate, saved ground on an inside trip, closed from two hurdles out to gain second, not troubling winner. FLASH FROZEN went unhurried in the rear, closed willingly in stretch. CRYSTAL HILL was never a threat. ASLEEP IN COURT (IRE) stalked in second throughout, then weakened in the stretch. MASSIF traveled up close, then faded exiting the final turn. CONSOLATION PRIZE dropped back, trailed, was pulled up and walked off.
