Chart notes
DARLING JOANNA vied for the early lead with CHATON ROUGE just off the rail, exited the first turn in command of a pressured pace, opened up a couple lengths rounding the far turn, held sway under strong urging. CAPELLA RED found a tracking position three wide, ranged up through the far turn but was brushed out by CHATON ROUGE when entering the stretch, continued a strong rally that was held off by the winner. LIL ASHLEY B. settled back to be the early trailer, swung out at the top of the stretch and rallied for the show award. CAJUN ACES was rated along the inside, trailed briefly around the quarter, closed some ground in the upper stretch, flattened out late. CHATON ROUGE vied for early command with LIL ASHLEY B. in the two path, opted to press the pace after the first turn, lost some ground rounding the far turn and brushed into CAPELLA RED, weakened in the stretch.
