Chart notes
CODE OF PARAPLUIE was sent to an uncontested lead, found himself between bids at the top of the lane, quickly shook off inner rival in the upper stretch, battled with DIXIE STRONG in the final furlong, dug in to secure the victory. DIXIE STRONG opted to be the early trailer, loomed along the outside of the turn to enter the stretch in a competitive position three wide, dueled with CODE OF PARAPLUIE in the final furlong for a gamely finish. RUNNER RUNNER settled off the pace four wide, ranged up through the turn, attempted an inside bid at the top of the lane but came up empty. CLEARLY COLOSSAL bumped outer foe at the start and bobbled, moved up along the inside, got checked back at the seven sixteenths, trailed through the turn, improved four wide down the stretch. PALACE ALEX chased the pace between rivals, lacked a bid, weakened along his inside lead. BIGFUNONTHEBAYOU bumped inner foe at the start, found position three wide between runners, trailed at the quarter.
