GIRL THIRSTY was devoid of early speed despite coxing from the rider, raced far back for the first half-mile, began a sustained run approaching the half-mile pole, came out three-wide through the far turn, then four-wide into the stretch, kept to task under steady handling and intermittent urging to gain the lead in the final furlong and hold clear late. ROLL GYPSY ROLL lost contact with the field early, began to run on late down the backstretch, regained contact midway through the turn, continued that run into the stretch and closed well late but could not reach the winner. MOLTO VINO raced far back early, began a long drive from the nine-sixteenths pole, angled in toward the rail while making up ground through the stretch but came up a bit short late. IM SINGLED UP tracked in the two path well back, came out three-wide in the stretch, and stayed on mildly. STRAWBERRY SUNDAE was the inside horse in the tracking pair, well behind the pace early, closed the margin mildly in the late stages but was never a serious threat. SWEET ALEXIS set the pace between rivals, was clear at the quarter pole, shortened stride late and was overtaken in the final stages. SUE'S LITTLE ZING was first into the clubhouse turn, contested the pace along the inside among two other rivals, gave way from the three-eighths pole, and tired. KNOCKED OUT raced four wide into the first turn, pressed the pace between rivals, weakened from the nine-sixteenths pole, and failed to factor late.
