Chart notes
CRUSIN LIKE A CAT tracked close up inside, was boxed in to the quarter pole, split horses in mid-stretch, and edged ahead in the final yards. CUSTOM PUNCH emerged from the pack with the lead, held clear through the turn, turned for home with a narrow lead, battled gamely through the stretch, but was unable to last. MO SMOKING outrun early, made a five-wide bid into the stretch and closed strongly to move up to third. GOLDEN BARCENTS stalked the pace three-wide then weakened a bit in the last sixteenth. ALEXAPLAYBORNTORUN tracked four-wide, made a five-wide bid into the stretch but was outfinished. DESTINY'S GRACE outpaced early, rated in behind while saving ground through the early and middle stages, shifted out a path in the stretch but was outkicked by rivals in the final furlong. EASY BET tracked four-wide off the pace, moved up to challenge through the turn, loomed large at the head of the stretch but flattened out in the final furlong.
