Chart notes

MY ROMEO LIMA was sent to the early lead, saved ground through the first turn, continued up the backstretch uncontested, met a bid from BOITANO in the far turn until finally being asked just after the quarter and kicked away from the rest. BOITANO opted to chase the pace after the first turn, ranged up to press the pace in the far turn but was unable to keep up in the stretch, held for the place honors. C V SHACKLES was forwardly placed along the inside, made no bid, was clear of the rest for the show award. CASUAL ATTIRE was rated in the three path, was roused through the far turn but lacked the response needed. JOHN'S ROCK settled off the pace, never threatened. STREAMSONG trailed for most, passed retreating foe. GAGLIARDI broke slowly and got in tight early, raced off the pace in the first half before beginning to advance along the outside, had no more after the far turn.
