SENSIBLE CHOICE rated off the clear pacesetter in early stages, made a move in tandem with LEVIATHAN AXE entering the far turn, matched strides for the lead then was set down two wide for the drive, dueled gamely along the outside but could not get by stubborn winner late. MASH ON THE GAS was unhurried and raced in the back, picked up the pace around the final turn, hustled along two to three wide down the lane and cleared the rest. CHIEF CHITOZ stumbled at the start but quickly recovered to be near the lead entering the first turn, was the closest pursuer of the clear pacesetter up the backstretch, came up empty around the far turn and faded. FREEDOM TO SPEED held clear around the first turn, continued to lead the way by a wide advantage up the backstretch, got collared entering the far turn and retreated.
