Chart notes
BERT'S PROSPECT vied with ITS THIEVERY for the lead from along the inside, opened a clear lead nearing the quarter pole and maintained a safe advantage. BOURBON DANCER was forwardly placed racing three-wide and was gaining slightly late. ENOS SLAUGHTER saved ground while being allowed to settle, slipped through during the drive and finished in a mild rally. ITS THIEVERY vied with BERT'S PROSPECT from along the outside, drifted out nearing the three-sixteenths pole and weakened while hold on to dead-heat with BROTHER REID for fourth. BROTHER REID was unhurried, came two-wide into the stretch and failed to threaten while ending up on even terms with ITS THIEVERY for fourth. GORDY'S BOY chased the pace racing two-wide and weakened. SUPERMAX settled in the back of the field, came six-wide into the stretch and was not a factor. HADLEES HONOR broke in the air then was allowed to settle racing three-wide and gave way.
