Chart notes
METAIRIE was the distant trailer for the first half mile, began to gather steam into the far turn, rallied well along the fence closing the gap to the field quickly, sustained the rally cutting the corner turning for home and somehow managed to get up in the final stride. INCHHIGHATAHUNDRED rated in mid-pack off the rapid pace to the far turn, rallied on the bend to assume command from the tiring pacesetter in upper stretch, opened a clear lead inside the eighth pole while drifting out and was nailed by the fast charging winner on the wire. CAJUN MOVIESTAR reserved off the pace near the back of the main body of the field, closed ground on the turn to be prominent in upper stretch, altered course when the runner-up drifted out down the lane and ran-on when regaining late momentum. CUNIMBUS sped to the lead under pressure for the first half through rapid fractions, opened a clear advantage on the turn and gamely held on as well as possible after the rapid pace in a game effort. SEITAN passed tiring rivals with a mild bid in the lane. WHO IS CHIEF went evenly never posing a threat. BEACH BLANKET stalked the quick pace and gave way on the far turn. EL DAN pressed the pace for a half and stopped. ROBBIESSTORMANGEL dueled on the pace for a half and faltered.
