Chart notes
UPPITY UP rated in mid-pack for five-eighths, closed the gap steadily on the far turn, rallied up the inside in upper stretch, tipped out around the tiring pacesetter passing the eighth pole and pulled clear in the final sixteenth. EQUINAMOUS set the pace from the start, was well rated on a clear lead to the head of the stretch and could not last in the final sixteenth while fighting on to hold the place. DOMINANT STRANGER was carried wide through the first turn by NAUGHTY FAVORS, dropped to the inside of that one to stalk the leader down the backside, rallied to loom at the eighth pole and hung late. NAUGHTY FAVORS raced wide into the first turn carrying rival out, continued to be wide throughout while well placed in striking distance of the pacesetter and lacked a closing response when called upon. NELIDA failed to menace. TRUMPETTA was not a threat. SARATOGA EMPRESS (GB) was not a factor.
