MEANT TO BE LUCKY was well placed just off the pacesetter while tugging along the rail, settled down the backside while prominent, saved ground on the final bend, cut the corner turning for home, snuck through on the rail in upper stretch to rally up the fence and won the head bob on the line. NEOKING rated in mid-pack down the backstretch, ranged up four wide entering the far turn, rallied turning for home to take the lead in mid-stretch, dueled with the winner exchanging bobs in the final strides and was denied at the line. HARD MISSION reserved off the pace to midway on the final bend, rallied well in the lane, could not match the top pair and finished willingly as best of the rest. MAYNARD unhurried early to be at the rear of the field, made a steady advance through the pack and showed good late interest. QUISTMER set the pace through solid fractions under mild pressure and had no answer when challenged at the top of the lane. PEARL OF ACLAIM (GB) prompted the pace for three-quarters and faded in the stretch. R ADMIRAL failed to menace. I'M NO ANGEL was never a threat. THIRD CITY raced in early contention, dropped to the rear of the field on the far turn, was taken in hand at the top of the lane and not persevered with, galloping home down the stretch.
