Chart notes
BROTHER O' BRIEN found a tracking position three wide, closed in through the far turn and split foes to contest TOPPERS AT SEASIDE in the upper stretch, drew clear in the final furlong. J. B. BOOKS trailed through the first turn, travelled off the pace up the backstretch, closed some ground through the far turn and took towards the five path in the stretch, continued to rally down the lane and just got up for the place honors. TOPPERS AT SEASIDE showed good early speed, came under pressure from NO ORDINARY TIGER entering the far turn but quickly repelled that foe, met a bid from BROTHER O' BRIEN at the top of the stretch, gave way at the eighth marker and flattened out. HOUSE OF LORDS gave chase in the two path, shifted out four wide rounding the far turn, battled between foes for the minor awards but was unable to reach the podium. YOU'RE THE CAUSE settled off the pace, trailed after the first turn, picked off a couple rivals in the late stages. LIGHT THE BEAM was rated on the inside, lacked a bid. NO ORDINARY TIGER tracked the early pace setter, pressed the pace entering the far turn, retreated in the stretch.
