Chart notes
HOLA JOEY broke on top then quickly took on the challenge from ZERO SUGAR and vied two wide up the backstretch, continued to match strides still unleashed around the turn, was ridden along two wide turning for home, shook free at the head of the lane, tapped once right handed approaching the furlong marker, responded willingly, widened advantage and kept top task under steady encouragement. ZERO SUGAR hustled up out of the gate and challenged HOLA JOEY for the early lead, vied inside of rival up the backstretch, came under a ride mid-way around the turn, saved ground turning for home, could not match strides with the eventual winner at the head of the lane but sustained a steady bid and cleared second best. STRIKE RIDGE was forwardly placed and tracked the embattled pair up the backstretch, advanced three wide to race in striking distance near the quarter pole, ran on with response to the furlong marker then gave way.
