Chart notes
BIGONZETTI broke alertly to take command from the gate, opened a clear, well measured lead and held the advantage throughout going unthreatened. HIGHTAIL FOX unhurried to be the trailer, circled seven wide turning for home and closed willingly on the far outside to take the place. DUCK HUNTER reserved off the pace at the back of the main body of the field and made a steady rally form five wide down the lane. ONE STEP BEYOND prompted the pace to the quarter pole and chased the winner through the lane weakening in the final sixteenth to be outkicked for the minor awards. RAMBLIN BETTS stalked the pace to midway on the turn, rallied with a bid approaching the quarter pole and flattened out in mid-stretch. BENGAL CAT tracked the leaders from the fence to midway on the turn and steadily faded to the rear in the final quarter.
