Chart notes
MACKVILLE away in good order, vied early between horses, dueled late turn and onto the backstretch in the two path, edged out to larger advantage with three furlongs to run, disposed of the other speed into the far turn to be well clear, coasted home, ridden out. RIPSTER fell well off the leaders soon after the start, continued to see them all up the backstretch toward the inside, went around a tiring rival late in the final turn then dropped to the inside, lodged a rail rally through the lane to annex the runner up position, no threat to the winner. SIDETOWN alternated up front inside the winner, fell back off that one backstretch, chased that same rival through the final bend then continued to gradually weaken to be caught for the the place. WHIP forwardly placed early, raced three wide and in the second group through the first turn, one paced up the backstretch, asked along and moved slightly closer three wide by late in the final bend then went flat through the lane to finish up evenly. WINDTAPPER WIN settled in the second flight while outside through the first turn, steadily weakened the final quarter to trail in. This race was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
