Chart notes
RACEDAY ATTIRE drifted in some at the break, straightened and attended the pace three deep under confident handling, applied more pressure mid turn, poked a head in front in upper stretch, responded when put to firm asking in mid stretch then steadily edged away through the final fifty yards. ICY RIVER drifted in some at the break and bumped with WAMPUS KITTEN, corrected and was sent up to contest the pace, battled on a slim lead between runners near the five sixteenths, emerged in a battle with the winner soon into the lane, could not quite match strides past mid stretch but held well to the wire. WILDWOOD QUEEN , checked when pinched back at the break, dropped well off the early pace, saved ground into the lane, eased out late and finished well. LITTLE SASS sparred inside a pair of foes, failed to match strides into the stretch, shifted out and pursued past the three sixteenths then finished up evenly. WAMPUS KITTEN , fractious in the gate, was bumped and steadied at the break, regrouped to chase off the inside, gained four wide nearing the stretch then flattened out. MAMBA OUT angled out early and stalked the embattled leaders, came out four to five wide for the drive and faded.
