Chart notes
CLARELY TOM dueled for the lead on the outside and made a three wide bid in hand to be clear by the quarter pole, came three wide off the turn and sent down for the drive leaving the three sixteenths and dug in gamely by the furlong marker and held on to prove best, driving. SOMETIME was well rated early towards the inside, advanced two wide by the quarter pole and came four wide into the lane to make a bid and loomed boldly by the furlong marker but was out-kicked by the winner and had to settle for being second best, good effort. BEJUCO was settled early, three wide on the turn and came four wide into the lane and was no match for the top two wide besting the rest. CAPTAIN FANCY dueled for the lead on the inside and fell back on the turn and weakened. BIG Z OG stumbled badly at the break, then moved to the outside to chase the pace and was four to five wide on the turn but then was empty. IRON SHARPENS IRON was outrun early despite being under urging and saved ground and was not a factor. PANAGIOTIS stalked the pace on the outside and made a four wide bid by the quarter pole but stopped and was eased in the final furlong.
