Chart notes
RACEY RUBY was allowed to settle early, saved ground on the far turn and made a rail bid leaving the turn to assume command by the three-sixteenths and was clear by the furlong marker, then kept XMAS IN CAIRO safe to prove best under a drive. XMAS IN CAIRO was well rated along the inside, moved out nearing the quarter pole to make a three wide bid and ran on willingly to the wire but could not get to the ground saving winner and had to settle for being clearly second best. OCTET was taken back on the inside, advanced on the rail on the far turn and swung out five wide leaving the turn and made a mild bid but flattened out in the final sixteenth while clearly besting the rest. BOUNCE dueled for the lead on the inside on the first turn, then went on to show the way nearing the half mile marker, made a bid leaving the five-sixteenths to shake clear briefly and came two wide off the turn and tired in the drive. INANOCEANOFLOVE was allowed to settle early and was two wide on the far turn and had no rally. AFRICAN ANGEL chased the pace and had outside pursuit down the backside and was four wide on the far turn and tired. PEACEFULEZFEELING was reluctant to load, bumped slightly at the start and dueled for the lead three to two wide and fell back on the far turn and stopped.
