Chart notes
CAJUN ACES stalked the leader in the three path into and through the first turn, continued to pursue that rival up the backstretch and into the far turn under light restraint, called on for some run entering the stretch, collared that same leader nearing the furlong grounds, took over, came in with a sixteenth remaining to briefly put the runner up in a bit tight then held that foe at bay to the wire. C. C. HARBOR lacked any early foot just off the inside, began to advance early in the final turn, moved to the rail, continued to steadily close the gap on the winner past midstretch, briefly put in narrow quarters a sixteenth out, could not get to that same rival while steered out late. MISCHIEF ANGEL away on top, clear into the first turn in the two path, continued to show the way off the inside the middle half, saw that advantage begin to shrink into the stretch, faltered when headed nearing the furlong marker while between the top two. IN YOUR LIFE settled off the pace while racing toward the inside, failed to menace. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER UP AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH, THE RESULT WAS ALLOWED TO STAND.
