Chart notes
RECOGNIZE ME stalked the pace down the backstretch, found room along the inner and took command under urging at the head of the stretch, went clear in upper stretch and held sway under steady handling. ALWAYS FORWARD , outside horses down the backstretch, advanced four deep under urging to challenge for the lead near the three eighths pole and continued willingly. PENNY POLKA showed speed, raced inside horses while off the rail on the far turn and weakened. BOTTLE ROCKET (FR) , jostled on both sides at the start, was shuffled back soon after, failed to be a factor and stayed wide on the far turn. COAL MINE bumped BOTTLE ROCKET at the start, rushed up three wide the first turn, remained prominent between horses the far turn and tired. BEACHGRASS bumped BOTTLE ROCKET at the start, stayed near the inner throughout and was outrun. An objection by the rider of COAL MINE against BOTTLE ROCKET for alleged interference at the start was not allowed.
