SUNNYVILLE broke inwards on the start, prompted the pace in the early going, poked his head in front on the fence by the half, edged clear opening up slightly around the oval with a quarter mile to go and while just off the rail was kept busy throughout the lane to hold safe for the win at the wire. BUTTERFLY BILLIE was unhurried at the rear of this compact group at the break, improved on the fence to sit behind the engaged duo midway down the backstretch, inched up saving all the ground on the turn at the quarter pole, shifted out three wide posing the only threat outside at the head of the lane but could not get by the stubborn winner in the stretch running. GLINT IN AMY'S EYE had a slim lead on the lead at the start, pressed the frontrunner on the outside with a half mile to run along the backside, regressed in midturn unable to keep up to the leader as well as being passed on the inside by a rival at the five sixteenths pole and ran on mildly to be a distant third well behind the top two runners who had it to themselves in the stretch drive. TRISTAR FURY prior to the break was washy heading into the gate, travelled three deep on the outside watching the front twosome initially, dropped back galloping along very low headed seeing the field at the half, lost touch with the pack by the quarter pole, was not persevered with down the lane and was basically eased up when crossing the finish line.
