FLYIN RYAN took the lead under pressure into the first turn, opened a clear, well measured lead down the backside, kicked away to widen the advantage into the final turn, responded when called upon at the quarter pole to maintain the advantage. drifted out through the lane and prevailed in the drive. NORTHSIDE TAP lost ground racing five wide into the first turn, moved up to stalk the leader down the backstretch, was set to an all out drive on the far turn, gradually closed the gap in upper stretch, was floated out through the lane while failing to ever reel-in the winner. HOMEPAGE chased the leaders down the backside under early urging at the half mile pole and kept-on to pass weaker rivals without impact. WILDERZAR pressed the pace into the first turn, was rank on the bend, settled to track and went evenly never mounting a bid. UNUSUAL ACTIVITY slow early to be the distant trailer and was never a factor. THE RIDER OF NORTHSIDE TAP CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RUN BY THE WINNER, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
