Chart notes
IWANNABEAMACHOMAN broke in the air to spot the field a few lengths, continued to lag the middle half mile, began to move along the inside far turn, steered out for the drive, drifted a bit then mounted a late surge to kick down the runner up to be up in the final stride. MY SPECIAL STAR away well inside, allowed the two leaders to go early, moved out, stalked that pair in the three path up the backstretch, made a three wide move to challenge midway on the final turn, put a head in front entering the stretch, quickly increased that advantage to hold a sizable edge a furlong out, shortened strides in the late going to be caught at the wire. KILN MOONSHINE broke well from between horses, dueled up front closest to the inside, vied into the lane remaining along the rail, weakened a bit but ran on enough to save the show. CLASSICAL KNIGHT showed early speed outside, alternated up front for six furlongs in the two path, vied into the lane then began to falter between horses into the lane. POSTUP in the second flight entering the first turn, in some traffic then tucked to the inside, one paced up the backstretch then tired in the drive. CUSTOM RIDE in the second flight early while three wide through the first turn, fell back before a half and was not a threat.
