Chart notes
ROCK N ROLL SONG pressed DALLAS ALICE from outside, in the early going, fought on even terms around the bend, put a head in front at the five-sixteenths pole, battled with DALLAS ALICE down the lane and maintained a short lead to the wire. DALLAS ALICE set the pace under pressure from ROCK N ROLLS SONG, lost command dueling with that rival late on the turn, battled back through the length of the stretch but had to settle for second best. BUDS N SUDS stalked between early, chased two wide on the turn and finished evenly to earn the show honors. MISTY DANCER was antsy in the gate, hopped slightly to lose a step, trailed from out wide while in range, went four deep into the turn, navigated the turn four to five wide and also went evenly down the lane. MASTERY KAT stalked the top pair from inside, fell back to last on the turn and could not rally down the lane. ROMAN EMPRESS stalked three deep in the early going, drifted out a bit on the turn but was kept in by MISTY DANCER, passed by that rival and drifted out into the lane, then flattened in the drive.
