SEVENTEEN BLACK took over the lead soon after the start, held a slim lead around the first turn, set the pace and widened in hand late on the backstretch, continued to open up still unleashed around the far turn, saved ground and roused for more entering the head of the lane, responded willingly and drew off to an easy score. ABSAROKA came away in good order and was forwardly placed around the first turn, stalked the leader up the backstretch, came under a ride two wide around the far turn, ran on under left handed pressure in the lane, was no match for the winner but sustained a steady bid for second best. BATTLE CRUISER raced off the early pace, saved ground around the turn, swung three wide into upper stretch, sustained a steady bid and cleared show. MR. THUNDERSTRUCK bumped slightly at the start and raced well off the early pace, hustled along two wide into the lane and improved position. PAPA FUNNY raced in contention around the first turn, sat off the top pair in a strung out field going by the half mile marker, failed to progress under pressure around the far turn and was no threat in late stages. I LOVE ROCKNSTROLL raced off the pace, saved ground, was ridden along inside into the lane and failed to rally. BRIGGSEY raced in contention around the first turn, sat off the top trio near the half mile marker then steadily retreated. SPANISH KISS got bumped slightly at the start, dropped to last after the first turn and was never involved.
