Chart notes
POLECAT underwent a shoe repair in paddock, rated off the pace outside, bid into the stretch and drew clear in the final eighth. ANGEL OF HOPE alternated for the advantage inside then weakened in the final furlong. CHAMPAGNE MISCHIEF earned a narrow lead outside early, vied to the stretch and faded. TELEPHONE LINE saved ground within striking range then proved empty in the stretch. WILD GIRL dropped back in the two path and faded steadily. SARATOGA EMPRESS (GB) lagged far behind and trailed throughout.
