Chart notes
COUNTTHEBRAVE , keen early along the inside and off the heels of the leader, eased out leaving the three eighths, ranged up and bid four wide from the outside into the lane, exchanged contact multiple times with an inner SHOWTIME MATINEE, asserted himself late and eagerly drew out under a drive. SHOWTIME MATINEE sped clear early, set the pace three wide into the lane, dug in when joined soon after, stayed on through contact past the three sixteenths, lost the lead with about a sixteenth to go then gave way stubbornly. BRONX BOYS , off the pace while saving ground, angled out under pressure near the sixteenth pole and churned on. CLARELY TOM , fractious in the gate, broke slow, raced off the pace and outside a rival, shifted further out leaving mid stretch then flattened out late. WHISPER ROAR chased the pace off the inside, raced three wide outside the winner leaving the three eighths, came four wide for the drive and weakened. An objection by the rider of SHOWTIME MATINEE against the winner alleging interference in the stretch was not allowed.
