Chart notes
STRAWBERRY TREAT settled inside early and off of a contested pace, eased out leaving the far turn and responded when cued, made steady progress three wide into the lane, bid to engage from the outside in mid stretch, edged clear late under a drive and held sway. PRINCE OF RAIN broke poorly, regrouped and settled well back while saving ground, eased out around the turn then worked between rivals with a run into the stretch, shifted further out in the final furlong and finished strong to nab the place. ELLIE'S BOYFRIEND dueled two wide and outside a rival, shifted in when clear past the three eighths, dug in when hooked near mid stretch, battled past the sixteenth pole then gave way grudgingly. AMAZING BERNIE , three wide early, dropped in for the run around the turn, came back out in upper stretch but lacked a rally. ECLIPTICALS BEAR broke outward, raced well back while four wide and failed to generate a serious run. UNCAPTURED STAR disputed the pace along the inner rail, shifted out after the winner cleared mid turn, chased to upper stretch then faltered through the final furlong. MISCHIEF WARRIOR gave early chase of the duelers, failed to keep up past the three eighths, raced three wide between runners entering the stretch and retreated.
