Chart notes
READY TO FLY unhurried early to be in the trailing duo well off the pace for the first half, commenced a steady advance circling on the far turn and finished with a good late rally to be up in the final stride. BRILLIANT JOURNEY set the pace under constant pressure, responded when fully engaged midway on the final turn, dueled with the presser to mid-stretch, repelled that on in the final eight and was caught in the final stride by the winner in a game effort. PRINCE OF AYRSHIRE reserved in mid-pack at the front of the following pack, saved ground through the far turn and put in a grinding bid through the lane to gain the show. EXTRASEXYBIGDADDEE tracked the separated pacesetters from three wide down the backstretch, rallied mildly midway on the far turn and continued to gain slowly closing the gap in the lane. CALVIN'S RIDE pressed the pace to the far turn, moved to engage the leader at the five-sixteenths pole, dueled with that one to mid-stretch and weakened in the final eigthth. DECLARED was not a factor.
